​​​​K. M. McFarland is a paranormal romance/urban fantasy author who spins stories of Voodoo, vampires, ghosts, nightlife, and steamy romance in magical New Orleans. After making her way to the Big Easy in middle school via Nashville, Tennessee, and the Florida beaches, she spent her youth among the artists, musicians, writers, tarot readers, and drag queens in the New Orleans French Quarter. 

New Orleans, the city she calls home, has many cultural flavors and a rich, colorful history, all of which play a part in her books. She has a passion for music and says that the one thing that kept her from becoming a singer is a lack of talent. 

Music flows throughout her books, and many of her chapter titles are a play on song titles. Besides music and writing, she loves photography, art, reading, traveling, online shopping, and binging a good TV series with a coffee or dry red wine.​
