K. M. McFarland made her way to the Big Easy in middle school by way of Nashville, Tennessee and the Florida beaches
.
Her obsession with Vampires began in 1986 when she discovered a new author named Anne Rice. Inspired by Rice’s concept of the modern-day vampire, she began spinning her own stories combining vampires, Voodoo, ghosts, and New Orleans’ colorful history. When she isn’t writing, you may find her in the French Quarter with her camera, sipping on a coffee or wine, researching her next book. She currently lives in New Orleans, where she says ghosts haunt the old buildings, and if the night is dark enough, you may spot a vampire in the shadows.
